Your phone
should make you
happier.

Pause Therapy bricks your phone and takes over the screen — no matter what you're doing. No swiping away. Just a short, science-backed moment of breathing, coaching, or clarity. Then you come back.

Get early access. Be first in line.

The average person scrolls 300 feet of content per day.

That's the length of the Statue of Liberty. Every day. Your brain wasn't built for this. Pause Therapy stops the scroll cold — it takes over your entire screen, no matter what app you're in, and gives you a moment that actually helps you.

How it works

01

You pick up your phone

Like you do 96 times a day. No judgment.

02

Your phone is bricked

On a schedule you set — one to five times a day — the screen is taken over completely. No swiping out. No notifications. Just a mindful breathing exercise, a coaching prompt, or a moment of gratitude — full screen, no escape.

03

You come back to yourself

In under 60 seconds, the pause is over. You've shifted from autopilot to awareness. Now you choose what to do next — intentionally.

Not another meditation app.

Meditation apps wait for you to show up. Pause Therapy doesn't ask permission — it takes over your screen, locks you out of everything else, and gives you a moment of presence right where the brain rot happens.

Full Screen Takeover

When it's time to pause, your phone is bricked. No swiping away, no switching apps. The entire screen becomes the intervention — a breathing exercise, a coaching prompt, a moment of presence. Nothing else exists until it's done.

Micro-Interventions

Short, powerful exercises rooted in positive psychology that shift your state in under 60 seconds. No app can compete for your attention — the pause owns the screen.

Personalized Tracks

Choose from mindfulness, positive psychology, or coach-designed tracks — or let the app adapt to what you need.

Progress You Can Feel

Track your mood shifts, streaks, and growth over time. Your phone becomes a tool for well-being, not distraction.

Choose your path.

Three tracks, each designed to shift your relationship with your phone — and yourself.

Mindfulness

Guided breathing, body scans, and present-moment awareness exercises that ground you in seconds.

Positive Psychology

Evidence-based interventions from the science of happiness — gratitude, strengths, and savoring.

Coach-Designed

Custom tracks created by certified coaches for motivation, resilience, and intentional living.

What if the thing you reach for 96 times a day actually made you better?

Built on the science of positive psychology and designed for real life.

Why Android only?

Android

Available now

Android gives apps the ability to draw over other apps and control what's on screen. This means Pause Therapy can truly take over your phone — locking the screen, pausing the scroll, and showing you a mindful intervention no matter what app you're in. This is the core of how Pause Therapy works, and only Android allows it.

iOS

Not possible — yet

Apple does not give apps full control over the device. On iPhone, apps can't take over the screen, can't lock you out of other apps, and can't interrupt your usage the way Pause Therapy needs to. iOS simply doesn't allow an app to brick your phone and show you a breathing exercise mid-scroll. Until Apple opens up these permissions, Pause Therapy can't deliver the experience on iPhone the way it's meant to work.

We're watching Apple's accessibility and Screen Time APIs closely. If iOS ever opens the door, we'll be there.

Pause Therapy.

Making your phone work for you, not against you.
